How to jailbreak iOs 5.1.1 Untethered using Absinthe 2.0

Absinthe 2.0 has been released for Windows, Mac and Linux that can be used to jailbreak all iOs devices running iOs 5.1.1 except Apple TV 3. Follow the instructions below to jailbreak your device running iOs 5.1.1.

Your device must be running iOS 5.1.1 to apply the jailbreak. You can update your device to iOS 5.1.1 using iTunes or by going to Settings >> General >> Software Update. iPhone users who rely on unlock must preserve unlockable baseband first. So let's begin.

Note: If your device is already running on tethered 5.1.1 jailbreak, follow the guide posted here to untether it.

Absinthe 2.0 supports following devices:

iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4, iPhone 4 CDMA, iPhone 4S, iPad 1, iPad 2 Wifi, iPad 2 GSM, iPad 2 CDMA, iPad 3 Wifi, iPad 3 CDMA, iPad 3 Global, iPod Touch 3G, iPod 4G and AppleTV 2.

Device(s) that are not supported
Apple TV 3

Step 1: Download Absinthe 2.0.

Step 2: Connect your device and run Absinthe. [Windows users: right click on Absinthe file and choose 'Run as Administrator']

Step 3: It will detect your device. Click Jailbreak.

Step 4: Absinthe 2.0 is now jailbreaking your device. Be patient. Once it does, you will have cydia on your device.
