Do we need the ATT sim card? I thought we did... Because I am having some trouble and I aint liking it. >___< My phone is now Unactivated and not activating thanks to whatever the hell happened... Now I have to restore just to get my flippin phone working... Lost of iPhone lost of iPod...

My answer is you don not need a at&t SIM.
Insert what you want to use and strat follow instruction from step 1.

First of all it's just brilliant.. but unfortunately did not work for me and that's perhaps because of my mistake....
at the end of I don't get any error while connecting itunes...
I do get my chatr service (in Canada)
My problem is that when I click 'Phone' icon, it closes that 'Phone' service. When I tried to unlock couple of months back, I started having this issue... so I am not saying it's because of your brilliant work... But I would request you to suggest me fix for this (when I tap 'Phone' icon, it closes that app immediately..) Rest all app works fine :(
I did it on a mac which my iphone 4 running on bb 4.11.08 is hooked up to and it did not work. It did work however when I turned the phone off/on, when back into SAMPrefs turned enabled back on again, and then when through the SAMPrefs procedures as described in the vid (thanks for posting it) and without having to hook the phone up to itunes I could hook up to my provider in Indonesia (my phone is locked to the Softbank network in Japan). Thanks hackers, love your work!
Guys please help.... I have iphone4 4.8.11, it's untether & using this video, I was able to unlock it.... but my Phone app (with green) color crashes immediately... I can receive the calls, but when I try to tap to make a call, Phone app crashes...

As per this link, ipickmycontacts might be causing it, but I don't have remove option, instead it shows recheck option ...... how can i remove it?
Finally, using tiny umbrella & ifaith, I was able to restore iphone.... jailbreak again... my phone & contact app are not crashing.... but now not able to unlock.... I am following exactly same steps... but in the end getting "No Service" for my chatr wireless sim in Canada.... any tips, pls.?

I was able to unlock last week, no restriction to of service provider (I have chatr wireless, and it's not in the list, when we select country & provider, but I selected rogers & my phone was unlocked) but my phone app was crashing because of issue with earlier jail-break, I restore my phone. But now I am not able to unlock... not sure why...
Can someone pls. confirm if this process still works or Apple has blocked with any fixes somehow?
